Combi boilers

The combi boiler provides central heating and hot water on demand. With no need for stored water,  this frees up space in the airing cupboard and means that you only consume fuel as and when you  need it.  Over half of newly-installed domestic boilers in the UK are now combi boilers.

 

System boilers
ideal for larger houses
with more than 1 bathroom

The system boiler runs the central heating system and also heats water in an unvented cylinder which gives you sufficient hot water for multiple hot water outlet usage simultaneously, with no loss of pressure. This means that there is never a loss of pressure when showering if water is being used elsewhere.

 

Both combi boilers and system boilers provide hot water delivered at mains pressure so you can enjoy powerful showering (with a thermostatically-controlled shower valve) without need of a pump. A thermostatically-controlled shower prevents sudden changes in temperature.

A regularly serviced boiler is safer, more efficient and less likely to let you down. Regular servicing of your boiler also helps to spot problems early that could develop into an expensive-to-repair fault. While modern condensing boilers are very safe and unlikely to have any safety issues after installation, there’s always a small chance something can go wrong – which can be costly.
